Wasilah MCP server

Wasilah is a remote MCP server that gives an AI agent 9 tools, among them get_asma_ul_husna, get_hijri_calendar, get_hijri_date. It answers at https://wasilah-mcp.aykiz.workers.dev/mcp over streamable HTTP, and it listed its tools to an anonymous client, so no sign-in was needed for that. Our probes reached it 6 of 6 times since 11 September 2026; the last check, on 22 October 2026, succeeded.

Prayer times, Qibla, Hijri calendar, 99 Names, Quran audio, Bangladesh offsets. English + Bengali.

Description as the publisher wrote it.

The 9 tools Wasilah offers

ToolWhat it does
get_asma_ul_husnaLook up the 99 Names of Allah (Asma ul Husna). Returns Arabic, transliteration, English and Bengali. Give a number for one name, a search term to match by meaning or transliteration, or neither to get all 99.
Inputs: number, search
get_hijri_calendarGet a full Hijri month mapped to Gregorian dates, with the significant days that fall in it. Give a Hijri year and month, or a Gregorian date to get the month containing it. Dates are calendar positions, not sighting announcements.
Inputs: year, month, date, method, language
get_hijri_dateGet the Islamic (Hijri) date for a given Gregorian date, or today.
Inputs: date
get_ifb_district_offsetGet the Islamic Foundation Bangladesh published time offset from Dhaka for a Bangladeshi district, for sehri end and iftar. Omit the district to list all 64. These are IFB's own published values, not a computation.
Inputs: district
get_next_prayerGet the next upcoming prayer and how long until it begins, for a city or coordinates.
Inputs: city, latitude, longitude, timezone, method, asr
get_prayer_timesGet the five daily prayer times plus sunrise for a city or coordinates, computed with the same engine as the Wasilah app. On Fridays, Dhuhr is marked as Jumu’ah.
Inputs: city, latitude, longitude, timezone, date, method
get_qiblaGet the Qibla direction (compass bearing to the Kaaba) for a city or coordinates.
Inputs: city, latitude, longitude, timezone
get_quran_audioGet streaming audio for a surah, plus the surah name and ayah count. Most reciters return a single full-surah URL; the rest return per-ayah numbering to build a playlist from.
Inputs: surah, reciter
get_tasbeehLook up the dhikr phrases in the Wasilah tasbeeh counter: Arabic, transliteration, English and Bengali meaning, and the customary count. Give a phrase to look one up, or omit it for all six.
Inputs: dhikr, language

How do I add Wasilah to Cursor?

Put the server under mcpServers in ~/.cursor/mcp.json with the URL https://wasilah-mcp.aykiz.workers.dev/mcp. The exact JSON is above, with the same setup for Claude Code, Claude Desktop, VS Code, Windsurf, Zed, Gemini CLI and the rest.

Does Wasilah need an API key?
